There's no better Christmas gift than a brand new baby!  I had so much fun photographing this little angel and his family.  Their house had so much character to it, and it had the most wonderful light! Little S slept through most of his photographs, and when he woke up and needed a little lunch break, his big brothers showed me ALL of their super cool toys :)

Big brother played a little guitar for me while we waited for Baby S to finish his lunch :)

Merry Christmas! What a beautiful family and such sweet kids :)  I love photographing these guys!  They are so cute and fun….they showed me their tree, we went outside, we even played a game of hide and seek behind the couch!

Terrific Two's! | Two Year Old Photos | Cincinnati Child Photographer

Not many people call them the "terrific two's" but Little Miss A would.  She has a brand new house, brand new room, a basically brand new brother, and life is good.  She wasn't too into sitting still, so she gave me the tour of her new place, and I just followed her around while she checked it all out.  She even took a little lunch break :)

I remember anxiously watching Facebook for updates on when this little baby was going to come in to the world.  Mom and Dad didn't know if they were having a girl, or another boy (they already had 3 boys).  So when I saw the update late at night that they were on their way to the hospital, I couldn't stand that I was going to go to bed not knowing yet what they were having.  When I woke up the next morning, the first thing I did was open my laptop, and I saw some of the best news I have ever seen on Facebook:

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

I actually got teary eyed when I read that, because this little girl made their already wonderful family complete.

Margo is the sweetest little girl, and I am so lucky that I have been able to photograph her since she was only a few days old.  And now she is a year old.  Happy birthday, Margo!

I'm not sure if you are a country music fan, but have you ever heard the song by Rodney Atkins, "Cleaning This Gun" ?  It's about a dad telling his daughter's date to basically watch himself because he'll be waiting up when they get home, "still cleaning this gun".  If this dad hasn't heard it yet, he should listen to it.  It could come in handy someday with these four beauties :)

Fall Photos | Cincinnati Family Photographer

Parents ideas of how a photo session will go are not always in sync with how the kids think it should go :)  Most parents want the perfect picture with the kids looking at the camera, and there's nothing wrong with that, but sometimes kids have another idea.  When I photograph my own kids, I have ideas, or expectations, in my head when we start, and by the time we finish, my ideas have completely gone out the window, but I am left with shots of their TRUE personality, and they are my favorites shots of all.

These guys did great, but I think Mom and Dad might have needed a drink after this session:)
